Man gets four years CSS for marijuana charges

An Ironton man was sentenced to four years of community-controlled sanctions for marijuana charges.
Ryan A. Allen, 21, of 2629 S. Ninth St., Ironton, pleaded guilty in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court to trafficking in marijuana and possession of marijuana. Besides the four years CCS, Judge D. Scott Bowling ordered Allen to successfully complete the STAR community justice program. Allen’s license will be suspended for six months.
Also in court Wednesday, Zachary A. Abrams, 21, of 2689 Wittenberg Road, Lancaster, pleaded guilty to attempted aggravated drug possession. His charge was amended from aggravated drug trafficking after he passed a drug screening.
Bowling sentenced Abrams to a 180-day suspended jail sentence, two years of probation, and ordered him to pay a $500 fine and court costs.
Jeremy Logsdon, 28, of 717 1/2 Ashtabula St., pleaded guilty to felony aggravated drug possession and misdemeanor possession of drug abuse instruments. Bowling sentenced Logsdon to four years of community-controlled sanctions that includes completing the STAR community program.
Danny E. Short, 35, of 17220 State Rt. 217, Crown City, denied he violated the terms of his community-controlled sanctions. Bowling set a CCS trial for Oct. 20.
