Wanting to get rid of documents or electronics no longer needed can be as easy as a car ride.
On Saturday will be the annual E-Waste and Shred Day sponsored by the Lawrence-Scioto Solid Waste District.
“The documents will be shredded confidentially,” Dan Palmer, district coordinator, said. “You can stand there and watch if you want. It will be confetti-style.”
Then the shredded paper will be picked up by Rumpke and recycled.
Also personal computers, monitors, keyboards, copiers and cell phones are among the electronic items that will be accepted.
“We will take them all,” Palmer said. “We will unload. You won’t have to get out of your car.”
The event will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Ironton Hills shopping plaza.
