Ironton students take home medals in competition

IRONTON — Students in the Project Lead the Way program took home three medals at a Skills USA competition in Columbus on Tuesday.
Lexi Arnett and M’Kenzi McMasters, of Ironton Middle School, won the gold medal in the event’s poster making competition, based on a theme of “I Believe in Education,” Matt Monteville, the PLTW coordinator for Collins Career Center, said.
A team, made up of Ironton Middle School students Mary Beth Burton, Malea Delawder and Riley Shreck, won the silver medal in the Team Engineering Design Challenge, while Peyton Rove, of Ironton Middle School, took home the bronze in the speech competition.
