IRONTON — Two items were passed Thursday evening at Ironton City Council.

Resolution 16-16, fixing the number and compensation of certain employees of the city of Ironton and declaring an emergency, passed. The resolution was previously tabled and favorably recommended by the finance committee.

Resolution 16-18, authorizing the vice mayor Craig Harvey to be named as a signatory on all accounts at the city of Ironton and declaring an emergency, passed.

Also at council:

Ordinance 16-14, authorizing and directing the mayor to execute an agreement with E.L. Robinson Engineering, Inc. regarding the Ironton general engineering services for 2016 for $25,000, and Ordinance 16-17, to adopt the annual operating budget for the city of Ironton for the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2016, and declaring an emergency, were both given first readings.
