Chesy school district gets award for clean audit

Chesapeake school district received an Auditor of the State Award for a clean audit report.
Ohio Auditor of State Dave Yost announced the award to Chesapeake Union Exempted Village School District in a news release on Thursday.
The award is presented to local governments and school districts upon the completion of a financial audit.
To receive the award, entities must file timely financial reports with the auditor’s office in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, the report may not contain any findings for recovery, material citations, material weaknesses, significant deficiencies, single audit findings or questioned costs. The entity’s management letter must not contain comments related to ethics referrals, questioned costs less than $10,000, lack of timely report submission, reconciliation, failure to obtain a timely single sudit, findings for recovery less than $100, public meetings or public records and no other financial or other concerns may exist involving the entity.
