David Cremeans
June 2, 1960 — Jan. 17, 2016
David Michael “Bonz” Cremeans, 55, of Ironton, passed away peacefully, Sunday on Jan. 17, 2016, at his residence. Dave was born the second son to the Rev. James and Mary McCormick Cremeans on June 2, 1960, in Ironton. He was married to the love of his life for 22 years, Lynn Thibodaux Cremeans, whom he married Aug. 4, 1993.
Dave was raised in Pedro and was a 1978 graduate of Rock Hill High School. He was a funeral attendant for Phillips Funeral Home for 25 years. He was a devoted father to his two sons, a beloved father, husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He attended the Ironton City Mission Church and enjoyed NASCAR and watching his boys playing their sports. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds and Bengals football fan. His quick wit, one-liners, his smile and generous heart is why so many loved and cared for him.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by two wonderful sons, David Andrew and Daniel Tyler, both at home; two sisters, Diane (Jim) Stamper, of Pedro and Janet (Sean) Lusk, of Ona, West Virginia; two brothers, Rev. Jim Lee (Teena) Cremeans and the Rev. Jeff (Lee Ann) Cremeans, all of Ironton several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Calvin Ray Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Furnace Cemetery and visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home and Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Pallbearers will be Jim Stamper, Shawn Lusk, Alan Perry, Doug Hankins, Dale Cremeans, Jeff Cremeans, and Jim Lee Cremeans. Donations may be made to the City Mission Church, 710 N. Ronnie Thompson
July 18, 1939 — Jan. 16, 2016
Ronnie G. Thompson, 76, of Circleville, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016. He was born on July 18, 1939 in Ashland to Roger and Beatrice (Stevens) Thompson. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Thompson, his mother, Beatrice Stevens Orin, brothers, BJ and Gary Thompson and sister, Connie Adams.
Ronnie was a Navy veteran, life member of Amvets Post 2256, BPOE 77, Heber Lodge 501 F&AM and was a retired police officer for the City of Circleville for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (Cassidy) Thompson; children, Greg and John (Brenda) Thompson and Carl Coleman; grandchildren, Brittany, Jack and Jacob, great-granddaughter, Aubree; stepson, Butch (Cathy) Pontious; stepdaughters, Pam Smith and Sherry (Doug) Crawford; stepgrandchildren; Melanie Galloway, Julie Howard, Staci Spangler, Martin Crawford, Ben Crawford and Heath Pontious; five step great-grandchildren; sisters, Anita (Bill) Hammond, Linda (John) Payne and by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery.
