SOUTH POINT — A new Family Dollar store is set to open in Lawrence County early next year.

The new store, which will be located at 221 Solida Road in South Point, will be a relocation of the current store at 411 Solida Road, Family Dollar Public and Media Relations Manager Bryn Winburn said.

He said the store will offer 9,000 square feet of retail space and is set to open in the first quarter of 2016.

“We are thrilled about this new location in South Point as it represents the best that Family Dollar has to offer in our expanded assortment, as well as new layout,” he said. “We’re excited to give our neighbors in this area a great reason to shop with us for the things they need and use every day.”

The village of South Point has worked in preparation of the new store, with the new village administrator completing water tie-in projects related to the construction.
