South Point-St. Joe game time changed

The South Point at St. Joseph girls’ Division III sectional soccer tournament game will begin at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

 

SV planning girls’ powder puff game

Symmes Valley High School will host a girls’ powder puff football game at 6 p.m. on Tuesday at the high school field.

Gates open at 5 p.m. Admission is $5 or five non-perishable food items.

Food and money will go towards the Symmes Valley student council’s Thanksgiving food baskets and Clorthe-A-Kid program in the school district.

There will be concessions sold and the Marching Vikings will perform during the game and at halftime.

The game will match the senior and freshmen girls against the junior and sophomore girls.

FBC Faith & Fitness league to begin

A youth instructional basketball league for grades K-2 will be held at the Faith and Fitness Center of the First Baptist Church in Ironton.

League begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5 and will be held on the following Saturdays: Dec. 12 and 19, Jan. 19, 16 and 23.

Each session lasts one and one-half hours with drills and game play.

First session is 9-10:30 a.m. and the second session 10:30-noon. Youths will be informed which session to attend.

Fee is $20. Registration dates are Oct. 22 (5-7 p.m.), Oct. 25 (2-3 p.m.), Oct. 27 (5-7 p.m.), Nov. 3 (5-6 p.m.) and Nov. 5 (5-6 p.m.).
