Was located Thursday night near Iowa border
A Burlington man, missing for two days, was located Thursday night four states away from his Ohio home.
At approximately 9:35 p.m. Thursday Clarence Henderson, 74, of the 8000 block of County Road 1, South Point, was pulled over by a Milan, Illinois, city police officer for driving 20 miles in a 55 mph zone.
“The officer ran the license plate and discovered he was the missing person we were looking for,” Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Lawless said. “He was disoriented but in good health.”
Henderson was taken to a Milan hospital where he spent the night for observation.
The man was last seen at his home on Tuesday. On that day he had visited his wife at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital and had gone home. He was expected to go back to the hospital later that day, but Henderson’s wife and hospital staff reported that he did not return.
The family is making arrangements to bring Henderson back to Lawrence County, the sheriff reports.
