Ironton LL to hold general meeting
The Ironton Little League will conduct its annual general membership meeting at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20, at the little league complex.
The purpose of the meeting is the election of the Board of Directors for the coming year as required by the International Little League and also to finalize league business for the current year.
Only those members in good standing will be eligible to vote and be eligible for election to the board.

RHLL baseball plans annual board vote
The Rock Hill Little League will conduct its annual meeting at noon on Saturday, Sept. 26, at field field for the purpose of electing board members. There are six seats available.
Basketball officials offer beginner class
The Ironton and Portsmouth chapters of the Southeastern Ohio Basketball Officials Association are offering a class for beginning officials.
The class is required for all new officials who wish to referee OHSAA sanctioned high school and middle school games. Fee is $65.
Classes begin Wednesday, Sept. 30, and will last approximately six weeks. There will be 25 classroom hours and numerous scrimmages to work.

Basketball skills at FBC Fitness Center
A fall basketball skills and vertimax training will begin in September and October at the Faith and Fitness Center of the First Baptist Church in Ironton.

Brandon Phillips bowling bash set
CINCINNATI — The Brandon Phillips’ Bowling Bash benefit event will be held Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Super Bowl in Erlanger, Ky.
Phillips and teammates will be on hand to raise money for the Reds’ Community Fund. Food will be available.
Doors open at 5:45 p.m. for VIP check-in and reception. Bowling begins at 5:30 for participants.

Levels are: $150 individual; $400 VIP bowler; $750 full lane group of five; $2,000 VIP full lane group of five; $75 spectator.
Registrants get Reds’ gift bag, group photo with Phillips, T-shirt, custom bowling pin, Phillips’ bobblehead and an autographed baseball by a Reds’ player plus two and one-half hours of bowling.
