The Lawrence County Department of Job and Family Services is the focus of an audit by the Ohio Auditor of State’s office, an auditor’s office spokesperson confirmed on Thursday.

“We do have an ongoing audit,” Brittany Halpin, spokesperson, said. “We have some concerns about the integrity of the data the county has provided and we decided to take a deeper look.”

There is no time frame for the audit to be completed, Halpin said.
