Petty theft, criminal trespass — Walmart, South Point, March 23, suspect previously banned from store allegedly took items from store without paying, Melanie Keesee, 24, of 436 Rockwood Ave., Chesapeake, arrested.

Petty theft — 900 block Township Road 233, Scottown, March 24, tools, jewelry, cash taken from residence.

Burglary — 60 block Township Road 1372, Proctorville, March 23, woman reported she saw an unknown suspect run out of her home while she was there.

Assault — South Point High School, March 18, student alleged teacher forcibly tried to push her down the hall after she refused to go to another teacher’s classroom; student alleged she slid down the wall and teacher grabbed her ankles and pulled her down the hall; student alleged teacher would not let her out of the classroom at first, but when she was able to leave, she reported the incident to the office; teacher placed on administrative leave pending investigation.

Theft — 200 block Township Road 1117, Ironton, March 20, man reported stolen check written in his name; suspect named.

Burglary — 800 block Township Road 1156, Chesapeake, March 22, TV, Playstation, handgun taken from residence.

Assault — Rock Hill High School, March 16, female student alleged male student pushed her and made her fall; negative contact with suspect.

Petty theft — Walmart, South Point, March 22, employee allegedly took money from register on several different days; William Mann, 32, of 412 W. Fifth Ave., Huntington, arrested.

Drug paraphernalia — Symmes Valley High School, March 17, student allegedly in possession of marijuana pipe; juvenile cited to court and released to parents.
