LONGMONT, Colo. — Betty Sanders Kocian, 62, of Longmont, passed away Sept. 16, 2008, at Longmont United Hospital.
She was born March 20, 1946 in Ironton, Ohio, to John and Oneida (Hall) Sanders. She was a 1964 graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School.
Her passions included painting, sewing, and scrap booking. She loved the mountains and big, blue sky as well as music and board games with her friends at the community center near her home. She valued her faith in God, family and friends and was in the process of writing a book about her life.
She is survived by her son, Keith E. Buck II and his wife, Wendy, of Grove City, Ohio; one daughter, Melissa Tyler of Longmont; three brothers, John W. Sanders and Linda, of Ironton, Bobby Sanders and Marcia, of Dayton, Ohio and David Sanders and Teresa of Grove City; one sister, Sandra Eicher and Mike of Dublin, Ohio. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Christopher Va and Travis Custer of Longmont, and Joshua, Nathaniel and Brandon of Grove City and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
