WATERLOO — Scott Ross, 38, of Waterloo, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at his residence.
The Lawrence County native was born Feb. 17, 1970, the son of Barbara Roberts Ross, of Willow Wood, and the late Harold Ross. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Reaper Ross, whom he married Dec. 27, 1988.
Scott was a graduate of Symmes Valley High School. He was a heavy equipment operator for Grace Myers Excavating and a former employee of Paul Herrell Farms and Ironton Iron. He was of the Baptist faith. He was also a member of the Waterloo Groundhogs Motorcycle Club.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, William Harold Ross; a father-in-law, William Reaper; and a niece, Charlea Wall.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by two daughters, Kayla Ross and Emily Ross, both at home; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bruce and Toni Hill, of Coal Grove, and Matthew and Jamie Ross, of Pedro; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Renee and Mike Wall, of Scottown, Kim and Chad Sites, of Willow Wood, and Denise and Kevin Shuff, of Willow Wood; three brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Billy and Candace Reaper, of Marion, Shannon and Nichole Reaper, of South Point, and Scotty and Kayla Reaper, of Ironton; a mother-in-law, Jeannie Reaper, of South Point; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Wilgus Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Matt Ross, Bruce Hill, Mike Wall, Chad Sites, Kevin Shuff, James Myers, Jaye Myers, Blake Myers, Scotty Reaper, Shannon Reaper, Billy Reaper, Red Darst, Dustin Beaver, Justin Myers, Eric Myers and Tony Hatfield with Sam Myers as an alternate pallbearer.
