Sarah Emmaline Blanche Taylor, 85, of Ironton, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.
The Lawrence County native was born Sept. 5, 1923, the daughter of the late Shad and Harriet Jackson Blanche. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Marshall Taylor Sr., of Ironton.
She attended Ironton Schools. She was a homemaker and was a member of the New Jerusalem Christian Center in Ironton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Morris Taylor; two daughters: Evelyn Taylor and Marsha Taylor Reid; three grandchildren; a brother, John Henry Jackson; three sisters, Katherine Jackson, Ruth Jackson, and Ruby Shropshire.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by a daughter, Jo Ann Taylor Sudderth, of Ironton; a daughter and son-in-law: Elizabeth and Jerry Bibb, of Ironton; a son, Marshall Taylor Jr., of Ironton; a sister, Alice Felker, of Ironton; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1p.m. Monday at New Jerusalem Christian Center with Bishop Kenneth Lisath officiating. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the church. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
