Breaking and entering, possessing criminal tools, resisting arrest — Grandview Building and Supply, South Point, Dec. 2, man allegedly broke into business through window and tried to flee when deputies arrived; Greg Mays, 31, of 1251 Township Road 138, Ironton, arrested.

Petty theft — Lawrence County Jail, Dec. 2, jail trustees allegedly sneaking food from jail kitchen and contraband to inmates, including cheese, milk cartons, pop, fingernail clippers markers, work gloves and uncooked fish patties; trustees allegedly admitted to sneaking the items, totaling about $76, into the cells; trustees fired, placed in cell and charged; Christopher Strait, 42, of 609 1/2 Buckhorn St., Ironton, and Jess Pritchard, 38, of 393 Towtnship Road 268, Ironton, charged.

Possession of drugs — County Road 107, Proctorville, Dec. 3, man allegedly had heroin and oxycodone in vehicle; Brent Lewis, 33, of 6451 County Road 12, Proctorville, arrested.

Assault — Lawrence Village Apartments, Dec. 1, two men allegedly got into fight outside apartment building; one suspect left prior to deputy’s arrival.

Petty theft — 4000 block State Route 93, Ironton, Dec. 1, chainsaw taken from property; suspect named.

Burglary, breaking and entering — 3400 block County Road 47, Dec. 3, resident and outbuilding broken into; firearms taken.

Domestic violence, disrupting public service — Private Drive in Chesapeake, Dec. 3, woman alleged boyfriend hit her in the head, covered her with a blanket and hit her and also kicked her; man allegedly took the woman’s cell phone; suspect named.

Theft, vandalism — 400 Technology Drive, South Point, Dec. 3, tools and clothing taken from truck at work site.
