The largest crowd at last year’s Ironton Farmers Market was when the Ironton High School Varsity Singers performed. This Saturday the group will sing for two hours starting at 10 a.m.
“Bring a lawn chair and get ready to be entertained,” Sam Heighton, market manager, said. “This is a very talented group and a good example of young folks at their best.”
The Transit Café is now open on market Saturdays and from 9 a.m.-noon the Senior Craft Store will have quilts and other crafts for sale in the Transit Center. Visiting the Senior Craft Store earns a ticket for entry in the drawing for $100 Ironton Bucks on Oct. 25.
“After the concert pick up your homemade items and produce,” Heighton said.
The Farmers Market is open 7 a.m.-3 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. It is a project of Ironton aLive, is sponsored by Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital and continues through October.
