Harvest for the Hungry food pantry in Ironton is partnering with Ruby Tuesday in Ashland, Ky., in a fundraiser.
On Thursday, Sept. 11, those who present the required flyer will have 20 percent of the purchase donated to Harvest for the Hungry. The flyer can be printed from the pantry’s Facebook page and will also be handed out at Ruby Tuesday on Thursday.
“We are in dire need of contributions,” Diane Porter, director of Harvest for the Hungry, said.
The pantry’s most recent fundraiser was a one-day percentage-of-sales agreement with Coal Grove Giovanni’s that raised $250. Porter also praised the Ironton Farmers Market vendors for donating between 150 and 300 pounds of fresh produce to the pantry every week.
