HAVERHILL — A worker at Haverhill Chemicals in Scioto County was transported to Cabell Huntington Hospital on Wednesday.

According to the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office a call came in around 5 p.m. Wednesday evening about a man down at the chemical plant and squads from both Green and Porter townships were dispatched to the scene.

“According to my dispatchers the injury was some sort of hot water or steam burn,” Scioto County Sheriff Marty Donini said.

The man was then flown to Cabell Huntington Hospital to be treated for his injuries but no other information was available, Donini said.
