For business owners and managers promotion and marketing do not have set operating hours. As a result Ironton aLive Executive Director Jon Ferguson has scheduled a Business After Hours event for tomorrow.
Sponsored by Ironton aLive and hosted by the City of Ironton from 5-6:30 p.m. business owners and managers will have a chance to mingle at the city center on South Third Street.
“It offers the owners and managers a chance to communicate,” Ferguson said. “We had one (Business After Hours) last year and it was successful so (Ironton aLive is) planning to hold this type of event more often.”
The new plan, Ferguson said, is for quarterly Business After Hours events to strengthen the network among local business owners and managers.
“During this event city department heads will be on hand to discuss their roles and answer questions,” Ferguson said. “It’s a chance for the department heads to discuss what they do.”
Joy Hoffman will cater the event and Ironton Mayor Rich Blankenship will provide entertainment. Those interested in attending can contact Marta Leach at 740-532-3833.
