Three-hundred and twenty-five students in both two and four-year degree programs were graduated from Ohio University Southern on Friday.

Michelle Dotts, graduating with her bachelor’s degree in history, gave the invocation and led in the Pledge of Allegiance before Lawrence County Educational Service Center Superintendent Dr. James Payne made remarks.

Interim dean Dr. Dan Evans spoke and Mashawna Hamilton, Dr. Purba Das and Dr. Miki Crawford presented faculty awards.

OUS Proctorville Center Director Stephanie Burcham presented Payne with the school’s Alumni Award and the Brass Band of the Tri-State provided a musical interlude.

New dean Dr. Nicole Pennington was also introduced. Pennington assumes the role on July 1.

Evans delivered the charge to graduates and associate dean Ella McCown performed degree recognition for the 150 students who chose to walk in the ceremony.
