Ironton event on April 2 will take place as scheduled; meeting to finalize set
PROCTORVILLE — The first of two scheduled rollout events for the Lawrence County Live Healthy, Live Well Challenge has been canceled.
The first event set for Friday at the Ohio University Southern Proctorville Center was scratched because of low response.
Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital Director of Healthy Community Initiatives Diva Justice, who is coordinating the challenge with Ironton aLive and the Ohio State University Lawrence County Extension Office, sent an email on Tuesday notifying the media and members of the Lawrence County Wellness Initiative of the decision.
“We will need to start to heavily promote the April 2 event at the (Ohio University Southern) campus in Ironton,” Justice said. “I have several vendors that plan to attend.”
A meeting to finalize the Ironton event has been set for noon on Thursday, March 27, at the Transit Center. Lunch will be served and those who plan on eating should arrive at 11:30 a.m.
