KITTS HILL — Emerson Franklin Brammer, 82, of Kitts Hill, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, at a local health care facility.
The Lawrence County native was born Feb. 13, 1927, the son of the late Emil and Vada Brammer.
He attended Andis schools and was a WW II Army veteran. He also worked at Carile Tile as a grinder for 19 years and at Ironton Iron for 16 years. He was a member of Linnville Baptist Church and lived all his life in the Kitts Hill area.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Mable Ruth Hardy Brammer and a sister Lavada Wilson.
He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Harry Salmons of Kitts Hill, Carol and Terry Stewart of Andis and Sandy and Keith Kerns of Greasy Ridge; a sister, Sue Newman of Jamestown; three brothers, Clifford, Clarence and Robert Brammer all of Jamestown; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Payne officiating. Burial will follow in Myrtle Ridge Cemetery. Visitation is 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
