CHESAPEAKE — The Chesapeake Lady Panthers dug a hole and didn’t have a way to climb out.

Chesapeake fell behind by 15 points at the half and couldn’t recover as the Lady Panthers fell 41-37 to the Gallipolis Blue Angels on Saturday.

Kendra Barnes hit a pair of 3-pointers in the first quarter as Gallipolis took an 11-6 lead. Sydnee Hall had all six of Chesapeake’s points.

Kassie Shriver knocked down three 3-pointers in the second quarter as the Blue Angels built a 24-9 halftime lead.

Jordan Porter scored seven points in the third quarter and cut the deficit to 32-21.

Porter scored 10 more points in the fourth quarter, but Barnes was 6-of-7 from the foul line to secure the win.

Porter had a game-high 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Lady Panthers (8-7). Hall had 11 points and three steals while Kaylee Curry had seven rebounds.
