SOUTH POINT — A new Family Dollar store is under construction at the Charlie Creek Plaza in South Point.

Family Dollar is a regional low-price retail chain operated out of Charlotte, N.C. Cliff Cermak, a community affairs specialist for Family Dollar says the store offers a variety of products at affordable prices.

“We offer our costumers value and convenience,” Cermak said. “We have a variety of quality national and private brands. We have just an exciting assortment of food, health products, apparel for men, women and children as well as home décor. Most importantly it’s all offered at everyday low prices.”

The new store is set to open this spring and will not replace an existing store on Solida Road, according to Cermak.

“Because our stores are smaller in format than grocery stores, we’re able to locate our stores closer to our customers,” Cermak said. “So this store will be in addition to the existing location. The target date for the completion of construction is before the end of spring.”
