Inmate looking for correspondence

My name is Richard Allen Coffman and I am serving a life sentence. I will never be a free person. I’ve been locked up over 12 years now on this sentence, and I haven’t gotten one card or letter in all this time. I have no family living. I have no family living. I outlived them all and what friends I had before I went to jail on this case are long gone now.

I know I did wrong to put myself in here, but I am now paying for my mistakes. But no one should be alone even an old timer like me, everyone should have someone.

So this is why I am writing to you in hopes that you could please print this in your newspaper. I hope that someone will read it and would like to become a pen pal and friend. I am an up front person, I don’t play head games, and don’t care for people who do. I will answer all letters and questions anyone cares to ask me.

I am white, 66 years old, from Boise Idaho. I like all sports, will read anything I can get my hands on. I play the guitar and used to sing. I am an artist, who loves to work with oil paints.

I haven’t been able to do much since I came to prison I have some of my work all over the U.S. I used to move around a lot, I wanted to see the world. But right now I just want to have someone to write, to help take away the long lonely feeling.

I still have a lot of good inside this old heart of mine, maybe I could keep someone from making the same mistakes I made.

I just went down the wrong road in life but it’s never to late to get back on the right track. But, I can’t do it alone so I truly hope you could find it in your heart to print my letter.

Anything you could do for me on this matter sure would be well appreciated. Thanks for your time and understanding.
