Regina Fields

May 20, 1957—Nov. 4, 2013

Regina Ann Howard Fields, 56, of Ironton, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at her residence. The Ironton native was born May 20, 1957, the daughter of Ray Howard of Kitts Hill and Marta Nance McCalvin of Kitts Hill.

Mrs. Fields was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and received her bachelor’s degree in education from Ohio University. She was a public relation specialist with the Hecla Water Association and a member of the Central Christian Church in Ironton.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, LeRoy and Myrtle Nance; and her paternal grandparents, Albert and Margaret Howard.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a son, Joshua Jeffrey Fields of Kitts Hill; a daughter, Samantha Jo Fields of Ironton; a brother, James LeRoy Howard of Ironton; a sister, Pamela Lou Leach of Ironton; four grandchildren, Savannah Fields, Tyler Fields, Raegan Crabtree, and Natalie Fields; and three nieces and a nephew.

Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Dillon officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery and visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Pamela Campbell

Sept. 27, 1948—Nov. 3, 2013

Pamela Sue Campbell, 65 of Pedro, passed away Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013 at the St. Mary’s Medical Center- Ironton Campus. The Prosperity, W.Va., native was born Sept. 27, 1948, the daughter of the late Kyle and Frances Floyd Hooker. She is survived by her husband, Gregory Allen Campbell.

Mrs. Campbell was a 1966 graduate of Huntington High School and a graduate of Marshall University, where she received her associate’s degree in nursing. She was a former LPN for the St. Mary’s Medical Center working in the infirmary with the retired nuns and was currently employed as a LPN for Necco. She supported the Boy Scouts Troop 104 in Ironton and helped raised many of her families’ children as well as friends and neighbors. She worked tirelessly at Necco as a nurse, caring and looking after the children there. She was a great caring and loving mother and wife.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Scarlett Campbell of Pedro; a brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Trish Hooker of Birch River, W.Va.; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Holly and Dan Richardson of Seattle, Wash., Gail Seals of Cleveland, Tenn., and Kylene Stump of Birch River, W.Va.; nephews, Japheth Stump and his wife Tia, Tommy Mullen and his wife Brenda and Mark Hooker Jr.; nieces, Tavyia Perez and Miranda Seals; a great nephew, Isaac Stump and several other great nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service 11 a.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home with Pastor Max Donahue officiating. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Donna Houston

May 29, 1937—Nov. 3, 2013

Donna F. Houston, 76, of Ironton, passed away Nov. 3, 2013, at the Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Ky.

She was born on May 29, 1937, in Pedro, the daughter of the late Ovid G. Wilson and Gertrude G. Orthmeyer Wilson of Pedro, Ohio. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Franklin D. Houston; three brothers, Ralph Wilson, Franklin Wilson, and David Wilson; and one sister; Marilyn K Wilson.

She is survived by two sons, Jeff Houston (Judy Payne Houston), of Ironton; Greg Houston (Pamela Roehrig Houston) of Cincinnati; and a daughter, Sheila Houston Walker (Nick Walker) of Louisville, Ky. She was the proud grandmother of Tyler Houston (Whitney), Emily Rumley (David), Aubrey Houston, Mackenzie Houston, Laura Walker, Evan Walker, Don Wieteki and Alva Wieteki.

She is also survived by one brother, Ronald Wilson (Judy), of Ironton; three sisters, Juanita Lewis (Robert), of Ironton, Joann Wade (Jack), of Ravenswood, W.Va. and Janet Harmon (Frank), of Coal Grove; two brothers-in-law, Robert D. Houston (Elaine), of Hilliard, Ohio; William J. Dilley, of Portsmouth, Ohio; and two sisters-in-law, Janice (White) Wilson, of Ironton and Barbara J. (Wilds) Houston, of Ironton.

Mrs. Houston was a 1956 graduate of Rock Hill High School and a member of Central Christian Church, Ironton. She was a longtime employee of Wilson Sporting Goods and Fannin’s Hallmark.

The family wishes to acknowledge Mrs. Houston’s extended family of nephews, nieces, and lifelong friends, too numerous to name but whose lifetime of unconditional love and support enriched her life immeasurably. Special thanks to the staffs of the Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland and Close To Home III, Ironton.

A Celebration of Mrs. Houston’s Life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home with Minister Phil LeMaster officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Emmett Walker

Aug. 30, 1927—Nov. 3, 2013

Emmett Edward Walker, 86, died Nov. 3, 2013, in Columbus, Ohio. He was born Aug. 30, 1927, in Ironton, the son of the late Andrew and Margret (Gentil) Walker. He is survived by his wife, Rose (Lutz) Walker, who he married Nov. 6, 1950, at St. Lawrence Church in Ironton.

He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church. He was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Marine Corps in China. He was employed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons and was retired from the Federal Corrections Institute in Summit, Ky. He was also the operator of a Walker Construction Company.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mark Joseph Walker; brothers Charles, Paul (Mary) and Clarence (Rosemary); and a son-in-law, Loren Hipsley.

He is survived by five daughters, Barbara (Robert) Shea, of Columbus; Susan Walker, of Columbus; Jennifer Hipsley, of Columbus; Anne Walker, of Columbus; and Janet (Keith) Niles, of Enon; five sons, James (Treva) Walker, of Ironton; David (Noelene) Walker, of Columbus; Shawn (Sarah) Walker, of Ironton; Terence (Jeannie) Walker, of Destin, Fla.; and Robert Walker, of Las Vegas, Nev. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, at O’Keefe Baker Funeral Home. Rosary recitation will be at 8:30 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Fr. Kevin Lutz, his nephew, as celebrant, and Fr. David Huffman. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pine Grove.

Fred Henson

Fred Allen Henson, 74, of Proctorville, died Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at home. He was the husband of Delores Henson, who survives. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Margaret Johnson

Margaret A. Johnson, 82, of Ironton, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, a Jo-lin Health Center, Ironton. Arrangements are pending at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home.

Grover Adkins
