Samuel C. Ross, 66, of Ironton, died Thursday, May 6, 2010, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.
The Ironton native was born March 8, 1944, the son of the late Eugene and Kathleen Jenkins Ross.
He was a graduate of Ironton High School and attended three years of college in Pontiac, Mich. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and he was retired from General Motors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Robert Eugene Ross and a sister, Carol Fields.
He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Tyina and Keith Barnes of Powell, Tenn. and Jennifer Collins of Middlesboro, Ky.; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Barbara Ross of Morristown, Tenn., and four grandchildren.
Graveside will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Woodland Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Lee Cremeans officiating. There will be no public visitation. Military graveside rites by V.F.W. Post 8850.
