Do you want to showcase your business or organization to visitors or individuals looking to locate or develop in Lawrence County? Do you want to invest in an organization that is trying to promote and market our entire region? Do you want to be recognized as a leader in the business community?

All of these goals can be accomplished by supporting the Lawrence County Area Chamber of Commerce’s biannual publication “Discover Lawrence County.”

This is “a magazine-style county guidebook that serves as a valuable tool for the Chamber, development leaders and businesses to showcase the myriad of aspects that makes Lawrence County so great,” Dr. Bill Dingus, executive director of the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, wrote in a letter to chamber members.

This is a marketing tool and fundraiser for the Chamber that The Tribune first partnered on four years ago in order to keep the money spent here locally and generate more revenue for the business organization that was looking at ways it could expand its impact and reach.

The Tribune staff is hard at work on selling sponsorships in the publication as well as creating the content that chamber leadership believes will showcase our region and highlight many of our strengths.

The book will look at the county’s past, present and future in terms of history, business climate, quality of life, global reach and more.

“The theme of the magazine will be ‘Small-Town Values, Global Ties.’ It will be a fascinating look at how our businesses serve the region and the world and can indeed make Lawrence County a business and tourist destination,” Dingus wrote. “We will take a look at what is happening now, a nostalgic look back at the importance of the business of the past, and a look at how thinking globally can define our future.”
