Drexell Ralph

Drexell Ralph, 82, of Hecla, died in the Lord’s loving care on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born Feb. 2, 1931 in Upper Township, a daughter of the late Virgil Otto and Edna Ethel Moore Pancake. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Robert Paul Ralph and one brother, Anthony Pancake.

Drexell and Robert owned and operated the Hecla Fabricating which they opened in 1969. She graduated from Pedro High School and was a member of Central Christian Church in Ironton. She was also a member of the Daughters of America, Homemakers Club, Garden Club and the National Campers and Hikers Association.

She was a wonderful caring person who always thought of others before herself. She loved to travel, camp, cross stitch and taking care of animals. She will be greatly missed by family and her many friends.w

Surviving are one daughter and her husband, Andrea and Mike Williams of Hecla; two sons and their wives, Greg and Brenda Ralph of Pedro and Chris and Mary Ralph of Georgetown, Ky.; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Tinessa, Chad, Jeffrey, Molly, Tommie Ann and Kelsey; and five great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Woodland Cemetery by Dr. Tom Melvin. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ashland Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, KY 41101. Evans Funeral Home in Raceland, Ky., is in charge of arrangements.

 

Shelby Holt-Wellman

Shelby Jean Holt-Wellman, 75 of Wurtland, Ky., died Monday, June 17, 2013, at her home.

Funeral services will at 2 p.m. Friday at the Lloyd Church of the Nazarene, 2729 Ohio River Rd., Greenup, Ky., with Kenny Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods.

Elmer Johnson

Elmer L. Johnson, 82, of Proctorville, died Monday, June 17, 2013, in St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Gregory A. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery with military graveside rites by the VFW Post 8850 and visitation will be Friday from 2 to 3 p.m.

 

Clarence Sexton

Clarence Harvey Sexton Sr., 73, of South Point, died Monday, June 18, 2013, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was the husband of Patsy Terry Sexton, who survives. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home.

 

Eileen Smith

Eileen Smith, 87, of South Point, died Monday, June 18, 2013, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home.
