Thomas Woods

Mr. Thomas L. Woods, 61, of Ironton, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.
He was born Aug. 24, 1947 in Lawrence County, a son of Helen Duty Woods Webb, of Ironton, and the late Thomas H. “Doc” Woods.
He was a retired construction services coordinator for Dow Chemical Company and served in the 216th Engineer Battalion of the Ohio National Guard. He was a member of Lawrence Lodge 198 F&AM and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father.
In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his wife, Susie Riggs Woods; a daughter, Debra Delong of Ironton; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Lee II and Cathy Woods, of Ironton; give grandchildren, Jeffrey Delong, Steven Delong, Lesley Delong, Sebastian Woods and Mackenzie Woods; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ron and Cindy Woods, of Springfield, and Jim and Pat Riggs, of Ohio Furnace; and his nieces and nephews, Joey Woods, Chelsey Woods and Clint Woods.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Tracy Brammer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

PROCTORVILLE — Robert C. Keeney, 78, of Proctorville, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Schneider- Griffin Funeral Home with the Rev. Leo Edwards and Pastor Ervin Nappier officiating. Burial will follow in Getaway Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 -11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

FLATWOODS, Ky. — Lennon Spears, 71, of Flatwoods, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. Graveside service will be 2
p.m. today at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 12:30 -1:30 p.m. at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods.
Robert Fannin
GEORGETOWN, Ky. — Robert Lance “Bob” Fannin, 68, of Georgetown, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008, at his residence. He was the husband of Dorothy Ann Francis, who survives. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wurtland Church of God. Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens with military graveside rites conducted by VFW 8850 of Ironton, Ohio. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods.
