Proctorville and Rome Township residents gathered along the streets of Proctorville Thursday evening to watch the Proctorville Fire Prevention Parade. Tumbling Zone members Hanna Adkins, Carrie Tanner and Lindsey Hawthorne display signs as their vehicle makes its way down the street. The parade officially kicked off Old Timer’s Days, an annual community festival sponsored by the Proctorville Volunteer Fire Department and Ladies’ Auxiliary. The festival will run through Sunday, and will feature free musical entertainment, a motocross, craft and food booths, and many other family activities. There is no admission fee, but firefighters will collect a $2 parking fee from those motorists who wish to park on the field, which is located on Ohio 775 across from the Bingo Hall.
