KITTS HILL – Rock Hill Elementary No. 2 Parent Teacher Organization will host the sixth annual Country Days Craft Fair 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

More than 25 crafters are expected this year to set up booths in the gym, hallway and outside of the school.

Crafts will include handmade quilts, wearables, handmade candles, crystal items, floral arrangements, handmade grapevine wreaths, stained glass and much more.

Pumpkins and field-grown mums will be on hand for fall decorators to buy.

There also will be activities that craft fair visitors can enjoy.

Lawrence Furnace Church will make apple butter and there will be face painting available.

The Country Cafe will offer lunch, including home-cooked beans and cornbread, homemade beef barbecue and hot dogs with homemade sauce.

There will be a dessert table with baked goods.

New this year is an old-fashioned cake walk every 30 minutes throughout the day, she said.

Also, the PTO will hold a silent auction this year.

Each grade level at the elementary filled a larger-than-a-bushel basket with a variety of items. Those attending the craft fair can place a bid on their basket of choice. High bidder takes the basket.

Each grade has prepared a theme for their basket – Kindergarten, Christmas; first grade, bears; second grade, NASCAR; third grade, kitchen; fourth grade, candles; and fifth grade, sporting items.

All money raised by set up fees and admission benefits the school. Auction proceeds will support Rock Hill Elementary No. 2 classrooms.

Drawings for door prizes will be held throughout the day.

And, the PTO will raffle a 7-foot tall Christmas tree, donated by Coach Lite Gallery and Interior Design of Ashland, Ky.

Rock Hill Elementary No. 2 is about four miles north of Ironton on Ohio 141 – a short, five-minute drive from Ohio University Southern Campus. Admission will be $1.

Crafters setting up booths at the event, and what they are displaying, include:

– Wilma Moore and Faye Peyton: quilts, wall hangings.

– Sharon Skaggs and Ella Morgan, Ella Kaye Candles: candles.

– Kim Schwab, Kim’s Crystals: crystal jewelry.

– Donna Adkins, Sewing Specialties: jumpers, vests, sweatshirts, woodcraft items, dolls.

– Robert and Donna Wilds, Wild Sew and Saw Crafts: wood birdhouse lamps, chimes.

– Ruby Justice: appliqued sweatshirts and jackets, quilts.

– Beverly Norries and Judy Neal: wood benches, scarecrows, dolls, birdhouses, Halloween items.

– Ray and Betty Shelton: woodcrafts, angels, birdhouses.

– Connie Pancake and Dorothy Neal: angels, dolls, children’s jewelry, bears, crocheted items, wreaths.

– Gail Webb: baskets, candles, florals.

– Janet Heaberlin, Candles Unique: candles, gift baskets, bath and body products and gift baskets.

– Hilda Schweickart: woodcrafts, seasonal items, etc.

– Dawn Hoffman, Pampered Chef consultant: display of Pampered Chef products.

– Richard amd Joyce Neal, Neal’s Greenhouse: mums, wooden houses, homemade bread.

– Becky Harper and Terri Huff: taple toppers, Christmas aprons, angels.

– Marilyn Rudolph: stained glass art, roses.

– Shawn McDaniel: wood and fabric crafts.

– Sally Boggs: Country Peddler display.

– Helen McIntyre and Lynette Riffe: Mary Kay products and candles.
