County Road 181, Hog Run Road, is closed due to high water, said Doug Cade, Lawrence County Engineer.
Also closed now are portions of County Roads 6 (Deering-Bald Knob Road) and County Road 36 (McKinney Road).
Cade said crews are out and checking the roadways and expects other closures as the rain continues.
“There is flash flooding going on all over the county,” Cade said. “… We just caution everyone not to drive through high water and to avoid those areas.”
The Tribune will update closures as more information becomes available.
Several school districts in the county dismissed students early due to rising water, including Rock Hill, Symmes Valley, South Point and Dawson-Bryant schools.
Collins Career Center has cancelled evening classes.
