CHESAPEAKE — The state fire marshal’s office is awaiting toxicology test results from the body of a 10-year-old Chesapeake boy killed in a fire last week.
Johnathan Fralic, 10, was killed last week in a fire as his home on County Road 3 near Bradrick.
The fire is still under investigation, Ohio State Fire Marshal Spokesman Shane Cartmill said.
Investigators are not looking for anything in particular with toxicology tests, Cartmill said, but they are trying to rule out some possibilities. He said toxicology tests are done in about 80 percent of fire fatality cases.
“You approach an investigation by ruling things out and that’s what we’ve doing,” Cartmill said.
Investigators are also viewing videos and photographs of the fire taken by The Tribune and WSAZ to establish a timeline of the blaze.
