Veteran Jim Kennedy speaks about the importance of the United States flag Wednesday at the Elks Lodge No. 177’s 83rd annual Flag Day Service at Sherman Thompson Towers in Ironton. The Elks organized an evening of patriotic music and speakers for the service, which featured an Elks-led "Pledge of Allegiance," singer Chris Laber and Boy Scout Troop 105 presenting the colors.
