It’s always fun to shop for the hot toys, best Nintendo games or that brand new electronic digital pager e-mail machine.

But the frenzy can sometimes cloud our vision.

Out there, among our neighbors and friends are some who cannot shop – or at least shop for anything else but food and clothing.

In the coming weeks, there will be angel trees, Christmas gift programs for the needy and the ever-present Salvation Army.

So, while we’re out this weekend, working off the extra calories of Thanksgiving dinner, let’s find a way to give to those who cannot.

Budget a little for those who have no budget. They deserve a gift, too.
