A separate investigation involving Elizabeth Keating was launched Friday after the Ironton Band Boosters filed a report alleging missing money, according to Ironton Police Department records.

Mrs. Keating is the treasurer for the band boosters, officials said.

"A report was filed and we’re investigating it," detective Capt. Chris Bowman said. "As to the outcome, that will be determined at a later date."

He said the new investigation would likely be "a long process."

"The outcome of the investigation will determine if charges will be filed," he said. "At this point, it is too early to determine what charges could occur. We still need to examine the financial statements from the band boosters before we can make a determination."
