Three adults and a 13-year-old girl have been arrested in connection with the beatings of two homeless men at a home in Ironton Saturday afternoon.

Jeffrey L. Lewis, 32, of 716 Vernon St., Joseph L. Lewis, 37, and Tammi Brumfield, 36, both of 95 Private Drive 523, Ironton, have each been charged with felonious assault, a second-degree felony, and aggravated robbery, a first -degree felony. They are all lodged in the Lawrence County Jail and are expected to appear in Ironton Municipal Court today to answer the charges against them.

The 13-year-old girl has been charged with delinquency by felonious assault and was taken to a group and shelter home.

Ironton Police Detective Chris Bowman said all four were arrested at the Private Drive 523 residence without incident.

"We received invaluable help from both the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office," Bowman said. "Investigators from these agencies assisted in the investigation and the arrests."

This stems from an incident Saturday that sent two men, Larry Williams, 43, and Michael Floyd, 36, both of Ironton, to local hospitals. Williams remains in intensive care at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.

Both men were visiting a home in the 600 block of North Fifth Street Saturday afternoon when the four suspects allegedly entered the residence. The two victims then allegedly became involved in an altercation with the four suspects.

After the incident, both victims reportedly walked to a home approximately a block away to call for help.

Bowman said it appears robbery was the motivation for the beatings.
