Three Lawrence County men are behind bars, charged in connection with several recent burglaries and thefts.

Keith Camp, 34, of 1098 Mead St., Proctorville; Randy Camp, 33, of 1717 South Third St., Ironton; and William Sexton, 20, of 629 South Eighth St., Ironton, were arrested this week and face multiple criminal counts, according to Lawrence County Sheriff Tim Sexton.

At this time, the three are associated with a burglary attempt in rural Lawrence County on State Route 141 and a burglary in Rome Township. However, they are also being investigated in connection with thefts occurring at new home construction sites in the eastern end of the county.

Deputies investigating the break-ins said building materials, tools, ladders and lumber were taken. Sexton said a recent tip led deputies to a location in Scioto County where some of the stolen good were found.

Scioto County Sheriff's deputies who assisted with the search also found more than 20 weapons

and approximately $30,000 in cash at that site.

"We are now reviewing reports in an effort to identify the victims," Sexton said. "The sheriff's office spent Friday and Saturday retrieving the stolen goods, and we are working as quickly as possible to return this construction material to as many victims as possible. Furthermore, we will wait to see if any of the weapons recovered from the residence search are any weapons missing from burglaries in Lawrence County."

Sexton said deputies working the case are continuing to piece together all of the information about the break-ins and thefts.
