PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Ohio State, Texas and Washington State are still eligible to make it into the Bowl Championship Series despite being eliminated from their conferences races.

Florida State (ACC), Michigan (Big Ten) and Southern California (Pac-10) have already clinched their conferences' berths in the BCS.

The top two teams in the BCS standings at the end of the regular season will play for the national championship in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 4. Oklahoma and USC currently hold the top two spots.

Kansas State and Oklahoma will play Dec. 6 for the Big 12 title; Miami, Pittsburgh and West Virginia are in contention in the Big East; and Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, LSU and Mississippi are alive in the SEC race.

The other two spots will go to at-large teams. Any team with at least nine wins that finishes in the top 12 in the BCS is eligible for those berths.
