WILLOW WOOD - Since Lisa Bryant became head coach, the Symmes Valley Lady Vikings have won more and more games each season.

But nothing like this.

With their most explosive offensive performance in years, the Lady Vikings dusted the New Boston Lady

Tigers 80-51 Monday in a Southern Ohio Conference game.

"We were real balanced. We've never been this balanced before," Bryant said. "Everyone played well. Our press worked all night and, offensively, we've never scored 80 points since I've been here."

Four players reached double figures in the offensive eruption. Rebecca Capper had 21 points, Tiffany Bryant 16, Leslie Floyd 15 and Brigette Thompson 10. A total of 10 different players scored.

Bryant also had nine rebounds, Capper six and Jessica Neal and Brittney Wilson five each. Floyd and Capper had six rebounds apiece and Kayla Saunders four.

"We're young and it's still coming," coach Bryant said. "We did a nice job defensively getting after them."

Abby Marshall scored 23 points and Jessica Waugh 11 for New Boston.

Capper had eight points with Floyd and Thompson adding six each as the Lady Vikings opened up a 27-13 first quarter lead.

The lead grew to 48-26 at the half as Bryant and Capper got six points each.

Floyd came back with eight points in the third quarter as the Lady Vikings built a 66-37 cushion.
