The regulars did their usual jobs. It was the supporting cast that made the show a hit.

Christina Harvey, Raven Blake and Lindsay Dressel combined for 39 points, but Austin Clyse and Mallory Hasenauer provided some needed contributions as the Ironton St. Joseph Female Flyers rallied past the Huntington (W.Va.) St. Joseph Lady Fighting Irish 49-47 Monday.

Harvey led all scorers with 18 points, Blake finished with 15, and Dressel had six points and seven assists.

Clyse had a season-high six points

and Hasenauer had some key rebounds as the Flyers ran their record to 4-5.

Assistant coach Tom Blake, filling in for head coach Paul Webb, was pleased with the team effort.

"Raven and Christina did a good job working under the basket. Lindsay did a good job working the ball on the point," Blake said.

"Mallory Hasenauer really did a job underneath rebounding and screening them out. She helped bring the team to life. And Austin Clyse did an excellent job defensively and she hit some big shots for us."

Jessica Adkins scored 11 of her 13 points in the first quarter as the Irish took a 21-10 lead.

Harvey and Blake combined for nine points in the second quarter as the Flyers closed to within 29-23 at the half.

Five points from Harvey and four by Blake cut the Irish lead to 39-38 after three quarters.

Clyse hit a key 3-pointer as she scored five of her six points, and Harvey added four more as the Female Flyers rallied to win.

Besides Adkins, Susan Zappia had 12 points and Katie Blair scored 11 for the Lady Irish.
