After numerous inquiries and phone calls, Ironton athletic director Terry Parker has a 2004 football schedule.
Ironton opens the season Aug. 27 at Wheelersburg and then visits South Point before coming home to host Gallipolis, Boyd County, Ky., and Ashland, Ky.
A new face is next as the Fighting Tigers travel to Lawrence County, Ky. Portsmouth West will be at home week seven, then comes a trip to Portsmouth on Oct. 15.
The Fighting Tigers close out the season with a regular season home finale against Belfry, the Kentucky Class AA defending state champions, and then travel to Columbus DeSales Oct. 29 to end the 10-game schedule.
"It's a pretty good schedule. It'll be very competitive," Parker said.
"We picked up Lawrence County which has had a lot of success, and we're going back to DeSales after trading dates. They had only three home games and asked us to trade home dates for the next two years."
