For Keith and Julie Adams of Ironton, Jan. 31 will always be their lucky day.
Whether it was luck, chance or fate that lead Keith to Higgins Chevrolet that lucky Saturday, the end result was clear - with a push of the OnStar button the family won a new 2004 Chevy Blazer.
Like many in the community, the Adams family had seen the television commercials for The GM Hot Button promotion but they never expected that they could win. In fact they weren't even in the market for a new ride.

"I wasn't even looking for a car. My buddy was looking," Keith said of the chance encounter that lead him to Higgins. "We decided before we left that we would play the hot button game. And I won."
Sales representative Joanne Harries was probably as excited as Keith.
"Since I can't win, it was so fun to say, 'Hey, you won a car," she said. "Nobody believed me at first."
Disbelief was a consistent theme throughout the experience. Keith still didn't believe even as he was on hold with the prize claim department.
"We don't win anything," he remembers telling Joanne.
Once the truth set in, Keith said he was absolutely stunned and could not stop shaking.

Later that day, Keith called Julie to tell her the unbelievable news.
"I didn't believe him until I got home and actually came (to Higgins)," Julie said.
What makes their story even more amazing is that GM is giving away 1,000 GM automobiles, but only 625 Chevrolet vehicles across the entire country.
The Adams' should receive the new truck with a sticker price of $23,500 within the next three months.
The timing couldn't be better for the couple that has been married nearly four years. They have a 19-month-old daughter Keilie and are expecting another child this year.
"We weren't in the market for a car but it certainly doesn't hurt," Keith joked. "Especially with an expanding family."
