Ashley Patrick took the loss despite giving up only four hits and striking out eight.

"Their girl threw well," Lady Pointers coach Steve Baise said. "But we just couldn't get our bats going and we put too many runners on base."

After the Lady Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the second inning, they pushed across the three deciding runs with one out in the fourth.

Bronson walked, Nikki Harbolt was safe on an error, Teresa Keating was safe on an error, and Valerie Keating walked to force in a run. Julie Belville doubled home a pair.

South Point scored both its runs in the sixth inning.

Maria Viglianco singled to start the rally, Alex Weed was safe on an error, and the runners moved up on a passed ball.

After a strikeout, a passed ball scored Viglianco. Jessi Craft was safe on a two-out error as Weed came home.

Viglianco went 2-3 for the Lady Pointers.
