PROCTORVILLE- In conjunction with the state Route 7 widening project that is under way in Proctorville, crews from TAB Construction will be installing drainage pipe in the project zone just east of the Judge Kenneth Ater Bridge over Big Paddy Creek, and motorists will face changes in traffic patterns in the coming week.

During this phase of the project, traffic patterns will be shifted from existing to temporary pavement, with two-way traffic being maintained in two lanes. The lane shifts will be in effect during working hours, with traffic patterns returned to their regular lanes for evening and overnight travel. In addition, motorists should not encounter turn-lane restrictions at state Route 7's junction with Irene Road and state Route 243.

Throughout most construction, traffic is being maintained in two lanes on temporary and existing pavement, and a 10-foot width restriction is in effect between state routes 607 and 243. However, motorists are advised of possible traffic delays when crews are working within the project zone, especially during peak travel times.
