T-SJGC plans 7 tournament dates

PROCTORVILLE - It's almost tee time.

The 22nd annual Tri-State Junior Golf Circuit will begin competition June 11 with the first of seven tournaments for youths ages 10-18.

The T-SJGC will start the summer June 11 at Riveria Golf Course in Lesage, W.Va.

The second stop will be Friday, June 18, at Lavalette Golf Course in Lavalette, W.Va.

The third tournament will be played on an untraditional day of the week. The third stop will be Tuesday, June 29, at Sugarwood Golf Course in Lavalette, W.Va.

Friday, July 9, will be the fourth tournament and will be held at the Bellefonte Golf and Country Club in Ashland, Ky.

One week later on Friday, July 16, the tournament will test a new site as the Cliffside Golf Course in Gallipolis will be the host.

The tour will be at Shawnee State Park Golf Course in West Portsmouth on Friday, July 23.

On Friday, July 30, the T-SJGC tour will conclude at the Guyan Golf and Country Club in Huntington, W.Va.

Age divisions are 10-12, 13-15 and 16-18. Entry fee is $33 for the two older age groups except at Guyan where the fee is $38. The groups will play 18 holes per tournament.

The 10-12 age division, which plays nine holes, plays for $27 per tournament with the exception of Guyan when the fee raises to $29.

All fees include green fees and lunch.

Entry forms are available at all participating golf courses.

Soft spikes are required to play on all tournament courses.

Entry deadlines for each tournament are 3 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the tournament with the exception of Sugarwood when the deadline is Sunday, June 26.
