Two people were arrested Monday in connection with a recent rash of mailbox bashing in the eastern end of the county.

Steven Facello, 18, of Huntington, and James Kaull, 19 of 2248 State Route 243, Proctorville were both charged in connection with the incidents. A female suspect may also faces charges in connection with the incident.

The arrests came after a Rome Township resident reported that subjects were driving through Gardner Terrace hitting mailboxes. The resident was able to provide vehicle information and a deputy on patrol used to information to apprehend the suspects.

Facello and Kaull were taken to jail.
