GREENUP, Ky. - Two men accused of robbing a Russell, Ky., video store and violently assaulting a female employee will stand trial in August 2005 in connection with that incident.

Greenup County District Court Judge Lewis Nichols scheduled August 8 trial dates for William Ryan Dixon, 20, of Franklin Furnace, and Wayne C. Murphy, 30, of Ironton.

Those trial dates were scheduled during a pretrial conference late last month.

They are accused of going to the Superstar video store July 14 and attacking the store manager. Russell Police Department investigators said the Superstar crime scene was one of the most gruesome they had ever seen.

Murphy and Dixon remain in the Greenup County Jail. They face other charges stemming from other violent incidents in Scioto County.
